This year marks the 20th year Fat Beehive has been making websites for not-for-profit organisations in the UK and internationally. We’ve grown up with the internet, have seen it change and in turn have changed ourselves over the years.
We’re proud of our work – with almost 300 websites under our belts – and the reputation we’ve earned as one of the UK’s leading web development agencies for the third sector. Building on top of this legacy, Fat Beehive has now broadened our service offering further with the appointment of a new Head of Creative.
Ben joins us from Jump Projects, a wellbeing and behaviour change creative agency focussed on volunteering and physical activity. He combined this with freelance work for Breakthrough Media and Studio Frank, plus volunteer design work for Chatterbox languages and The Cambridge Commons.
His T-shaped skill set is deep in design, but wide in content, branding and messaging. Understanding how design interacts with parallel disciples is key to his varied career.
Ben said “I’ve always had a passion for the third-sector and helping positively shape the world we live in. As designers, developers and communicators, we have a unique responsibility to help people make better decisions about their lives and communities.
I’m delighted to be joining the diverse and talented team at FatBeehive. Their 20 years of experience working with charities, the arts and social enterprises matches my drive for design for positive social change.”
Prior to Jump Projects, Ben was Head of Design and Content at London 2012 Olympic legacy charity Join In. Matching local sports clubs with people looking to lend a hand, he helped design and shape award-winning campaigns such as the #BigThankYou to sports volunteers at BBC Sports Personality of the Year, and ‘I Am Team GB’ with The National Lottery, ITV and Team GB.
