Reducing London’s carbon footprint
That’s why we signed up to The Mayor’s Business Climate Challenge (BCC), which is an energy efficiency programme that supports businesses looking to reduce their energy consumption and accelerate building decarbonisation efforts in London.
Currently, emissions from heating and powering the capital’s commercial and industrial buildings count for 33% of London’s carbon footprint. The Mayor’s goal is to reach net zero by 2030, so we’re proud that we’re doing our bit to achieve that ambitious objective.
Since ditching our gas boiler and installing an electric one in our office (all our electricity is from renewables), we estimate to have cut our carbon emissions by almost two thirds. We hope other businesses will follow our example – that way we’ll achieve carbon neutrality in the next six years, and be on target.
