We created a professional, user-friendly platform that inspires confidence and enables seamless access to essential information.

Delivering resources and support

Surrey Care Association (SCA) is a not-for-profit membership organisation established in 2005, dedicated to shaping the future of adult social care in Surrey. SCA provides resources and support to all Adult Social Care (ASC) stakeholders across the region, offering networking opportunities, representation, and updates on local and national social care developments.

The SCA website is structured to serve both care providers and seekers:

  • Adult Social Care: Offers information on what adult social care entails, funding options, and general social care guidance.
  • Find a Job in Care: Lists current employment opportunities within the care sector in Surrey.
  • Information for Providers: Includes sections on commercial sponsorships, recruitment, training and development, digital support, and various resources to assist care providers.
  • Looking for Care: Provides guidance for individuals seeking care services, helping them make informed decisions.

The website also features news updates, resources, and event information, ensuring that visitors have access to the latest developments in adult social care.

A brand new website created with both care providers and seekers in mind

A clear vision

They approached us to create a new website that better reflects their mission of providing resources, representation, and support for stakeholders across the care sector. Their vision for the website was clear: a professional, user-friendly platform that inspires confidence and enables seamless access to essential information.

The project began with a deep dive into SCA’s goals, audience needs, and existing challenges. We identified the core issues with their current, outdated 2015 website, which included poor navigation, limited accessibility, and a lack of modern functionality. Our discovery phase shaped the foundation for the new design, focusing on creating an engaging, intuitive experience that would empower both care providers and seekers.

A unique integration challenge

A significant part of the project involved integrating SCA’s existing Rubi CRM into the new website. This integration ensured smooth functionality for key features, such as member account management, event booking, and access to personalised resources. By leveraging Rubi CRM’s API capabilities, we were able to create a seamless user experience while maintaining robust backend support. This type of integration doesn’t exist elsewhere, so was a challenge, but one that our experienced team met head on.

Brand new features

The redesigned website includes key features such as:

  • Clear Navigation and Search Capabilities: Users can effortlessly find sections like “Find a Job in Care,” “Information for Providers,” and “Looking for Care,” ensuring quick access to relevant resources.
  • Streamlined Member Access: Enhanced functionalities like easy password recovery and account updates reflect SCA’s commitment to improving user experience.
  • Dynamic Content: A hub for news, events, and resources ensures visitors stay informed about the latest developments in adult social care.
  • Accessible and Inclusive Design: Built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines, the platform ensures usability for a wide range of audiences, including those with assistive technology needs.

A key highlight of the new site is the “Looking for Care” section, which offers practical guidance to individuals navigating the complexities of adult social care, while the “Information for Providers” area delivers essential tools for care organisations, from training opportunities to digital support.

Vibrant, modern and confident

The result is a vibrant, modern website that aligns with SCA’s values of dignity, collaboration, confidence, and courage. It not only reflects their dedication to driving positive change in Surrey’s care sector, but also positions them as a trusted, forward-thinking resource for social care in the wider community.

We’re proud to have partnered with Surrey Care Association to bring their forward-thinking vision to life, and support their mission of improving adult social care.
